Axis Design Group was hired to provide architectural services associated with the remodel of the Gresham-Barlow School District’s FLEX/REY Building; a two-story structure located on the Gresham High School campus. On the first level, the project reconfigured the middle school area by constructing a new wall and door to separate the FLEX Hub from the dedicated middle school space. The reception area was expanded by removing the existing multi-stall, gendered restrooms and replacing them with four single-stall restrooms. In addition, new enclosed offices were created to provide confidential counseling spaces for at least two counselors or social workers.

On the second level, the remodel provided a dedicated, closed-door administrative office to support the program administrator’s need for privacy and secure workspace.
