Axis Design Group was hired to provide architectural services to address a series of building upgrades and renovations across the school campus to improve functionality, safety, and longevity. The design team replaced the existing exterior pole luminaire on the east side of the main school building and renovated the former sensory room to create two specialist offices and a small conference room. An alternate renovation option converted the existing conference room into a calming room and a health room, incorporating necessary radon system revisions. Upgrades to the main entry vestibule included new exterior entry doors and the replacement of the manual coiling countertop door with a power-operated unit at the reception counter. Improvements at the west entry provided pathways for expanded access control, coordinated with the district’s security consultant. Select exterior siding on both the main school building and the gymnasium was replaced with durable, low-maintenance materials, while additional existing siding areas on the main school building were repaired and repainted.
