AXIS was one of the design firms selected to perform architectural services for the Gresham-Barlow School District Bond measure that passed in the fall of 2016. The Powell Valley project consists of architectural services associated with general building construction projects, including renovation and repair work on portions of the existing elementary school.

Exterior improvements will include: widening of the current front access driveway on the south side of the building to provide a new pass-through drive lane, a new access driveway on the east side of the building to provide a new drop-off and pick-up area for students, a new free-standing wood framed canopy at the existing east side egress, a new staff parking area on the west side of the building, a new trash and recycling enclosure, a new playground area on the west side of the building and a new roof. Interior improvements will include: new security at entry vestibule, a new fire alarm system upgrade, a new PA system and clock upgrades, a new e-power generator for egress and communication systems, new flooring to match current district standards, new gymnasium lights and classroom lighting controls with vacancy sensors.
